Gary B. Rumpf ( Grump ) of East Rochester, New York on August 01, 2017 peacefully and without suffering in Strong Memorial Hospital at age 72. The Grump is already very sadly missed by two sons, Gary B. Rumpf Jr. and Patrick Rumpf. Also by sister Joyce G. Rumpf. He is predeceased by his parents Bernard and Amy ( Dixon ) Rumpf. He leaves cousins Alice Dixon, Kathleen Hughes ( AL ), Donald Fleischman ( TX ), Robert Post ( TX ), Paula ( Francipane ) Jarquin, David Doser, Hank Knapp ( FL ), Donald Rumpf and Aunt Bernice Rumpf.
Gary was a U.S. Army veteran who served in Viet Nam. He spent many happy hours with his coffee clutch buddies at the Landmark Restaurant. A heartfelt thanks to Dave Gavitt and Steve Tubiolo and their marvelous staff for tickling Gary's funny bone and always treating him like a king. Bless you all.
A remembrance / goodbye celebration reception will be held on August 19, 2017 between 4:00 and 8:00 PM at the Canalside Perinton Park Pavillion ( across from Fairview Lanes ). Come share your memories with us.
