The prices in this section are effective as of JULY 01, 2021 and are subject to change without notice.
The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and the New York State Department of Health both require that certain disclosures be made by funeral providers on the General Price List. Although these disclosures are similar, they are not exactly the same. This General Price List contains both sets of the required disclosures.
The disclosures required by the FTC, when different from those required by the Department of Health, are preceded by the letters “FTC”.
The goods and services shown below are those we can provide our customers.
You may choose only the items you desire. However, any funeral arrangements you select will include a charge for our services. If legal or other requirements mean you must buy any items you did not specifically ask for, we will explain the reason in writing on the statement we provide describing the funeral services and merchandise you selected.
This list may not include prices for certain items that you select , such as cemetery charges or crematory services, flowers and newspaper notices. The estimated or final prices for those items will be shown on the itemized statement describing the funeral services and merchandise you selected. We charge you for our services in buying certain items.

Cash Advances
Services and merchandise provided as cash advance items will be billed at the same amount paid by the funeral firm. Including Cemetery or Crematory, Newspaper notices, Clergy, Death Certificates or Public Transportation.
THIS FIRM NOW REQUIRES THAT ALL CASH ADVANCES BE PAID PRIOR TO SERVICES RENDERED. You may pay by cash, check or credit card prior to services rendered.
Green Burial Council - Standards for Funeral Service Providers, 2010
This firm makes available several “green” burial options and is one of a select group of funeral providers approved by the Green Burial Council; a nonprofit organization that encourages the use of burial as a means of facilitating the restoration, acquisition, and stewardship of natural areas. For such arrangements, formaldehyde-based embalming is prohibited as is the use of metal or concrete grave-liners, burial vaults, or other permanent burial containers. Caskets, coffins or alternative containers used to enclose and transport the dead are made of bio-degradable materials and are available in a range of prices. Home wakes, public visitations, church funerals and graveside services are options that may be arranged within the time frame green burial allows. As with all of our service and merchandise offerings, detailed price information for each component is itemized on our General Price List and Casket Price List.

In New York State, embalming is not required by law. If you do not want embalming, you have the right to choose an arrangement which does not require you to pay for embalming such as direct cremation or direct burial. lf you select certain funeral arrangements, such as viewing or an open casket funeral, embalming may be required by the funeral firm.
FTC “Except in certain special cases, embalming is not required by law. Embalming may be necessary, however, if you select certain funeral arrangements such as a funeral with viewing. lf you do not want embalming, you usually have the right to choose an arrangement which does not require you to pay for it such as cremation or immediate burial.”

Custodial care will not be charged on the days when embalming or other preparation of remains occurs, visitation is held, or a funeral service is conducted.
Arrangements
The charge for our services will be added to the total cost of the funeral arrangements you select. However, this charge will not be added to the cost of direct cremation, direct burial, forwarding of remains or receiving of remains because the prices for those services include this charge.

The following charges for direct burial and direct cremation do not include additional items or services, merchandise, facility use, and livery that the customer may wish to select.
PAYMENT IN FULL IS REQUIRED PRIOR TO SERVICES BEING RENDERED,
Direct Cremations Prices range from $2330.00 to $2170.00
Package A: $2330.00 which includes the local transfer of remains to the funeral home, staff services, securing of necessary authorizations, basic local transportation to the crematory, an alternative container for cremation and the return of the cremains to the funeral home.
Package B: $2170.00 which includes the services as described above but with the cremation container supplied by the customer.
If you want to arrange a direct cremation, you may use an unfinished wooden box or an alternative container. Alternative containers can be made of heavy cardboard, pressed wood or composition material (with or without an outside covering), or may be pouches of canvas or other material.

The direct cremation prices do not include the crematory charge.
Basic Cremation charge at White Haven Memorial Park is $320.00
Direct (Immediate) Burials: Prices range from $2630.00 to $2470.00
Package A: $2630.00 which includes the local transfer of remains to the funeral home, staff services, securing of necessary authorizations, basic local transportation to the cemetery, and an alternative container. ( Outside burial container or interment vault & equipment are not included. Pallbearers if needed are additional @ $100.00. This price is for Funeral Director and staff only. ( Interment time will be at the discretion of funeral home and cemetery).
Package B: $2470.00 which includes the services as described above but with the alternative container supplied by the customer
As long as the COVID-19 Pandemic is in effect our firm will provide Direct Burials ($2470.00) with a 20 gauge steel non-gasketed casket ($1995.00) in your choice of available exterior colors. and a concrete burial container ($1160.00) for your direct burials for a total cost of $5000.00. ( A savings of $625.00 when services are paid in full prior to services being rendered. - does not include graveside services with family present. ) Additional items or services that might be selected are not included.
The direct burial prices do not include cemetery charges.

Limited Services

This charge includes the local transfer of the remains to the funeral home, staff services, securing necessary authorizations and local transportation to point of shipment. The charge does not include shipping charges or additional items of services, merchandise, facility use, and livery that the customer may wish to select. Transportation beyond local point of shipment will be billed either as livery or common carrier charges depending upon the forwarding location. Local point of shipment is up to or within Monroe County.
Receiving Remains from another funeral home: .................... $2345.00
This charge includes basic local transportation of the remains to the funeral home and/or place of local disposition, staff services, and securing necessary authorizations. The charge does not include additional items of services, merchandise, facility use, and livery that the customer may wish to select.
Transportation beyond a local place of disposition will be billed as livery charges. Local place of disposition is up to or within Monroe County.
