RODNEY C. (ROD) FOLEY

Rodney C. (Rod) Foley of Fairport, New York on September 21, 2018.  He is predeceased by his parents, Herbert and Marjorie of Canandaigua, New York.  He is survived by his wife, Emily Peterson Foley, daughter Kristin N. ( John ) Ortiz of CA., son Scott E. Foley of CA., stepsons, Christopher ( Debora ) Peterson and Gregory ( Lauren ) Peterson.  His grandchildren, Kaelyn, Sebastian, Nicholas, Jaslin, Grace, Hailey, Kamryn, Madeline and Rylie.  Also by his brother Bill ( Sharon ) Foley of GA. and first wife and dear friend Kathy Thompson Foley of CA.

Rod spent his youth in Canandaigua, New York.  He graduated from Clarkson University and then lived most of his working life in southern California.  He moved to New York in 2010, where he truly treasured experiencing the four seasons of  each year.  Rod was a brilliant man who treasured his family, loved playing his beloved guitar, anything involving being near the water, golfing on the best courses and embellishing his power tool collection.

Friends may visit on Wednesday September 26th from 4:00 - 7:00 PM at the funeral home.  According to Rod's wishes there will be no formal funeral services.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the amazing Joyful Rescues, 1319 Turock Drive,  Cuba, NY  14727, where he and Emily adopted their canine best friend, Tuck, always by Rod"s side.

A special thanks to the URMC 6th floor Unit 1200 Team, especially Dr. Nicholson and Reggie, UR Hospice, and Dr. Paul Burns for their gentle and considerate care.  Also our very loved cottage friends who carried us through this past year. You know who you are.  We are also grateful for the support and concern of LeChase Construction Services during these past difficult months.  Rod always said you were the best team he ever had the pleasure of working with.
