Allan W. Gage (AL) a loving husband, father & grandfather passed away in his home on January 4th, 2025 at the age of 72.

Allan W. Gage was born at The Hospital in Sidney, NY on January 31st, 1952. As a kid he grew up in South New Berlin NY as well as Jacksonville Florida but later returning to New York residing in East Rochester and Fairport. Al was an expert mechanic who worked at several large automotive shops in the Rochester area including Cole Muffler, Hoselton & The Muffler Shop. Al had a loyal clientele who would only trust him to work on their cars. Al would often brag about being a Certified Brake Specialist and how he preferred to drive a Chevy over every other vehicle brand. Al’s hobbies included racing go carts in his younger years, riding his Harley Davidson motorcycles, gardening and collecting souvenir knives. But Al’s biggest devotion was to his family especially his grandchildren which were his pride and joy.

Al is now united with his beloved wife of forty-two years Maryellen (Mania) Gage, his mother Marie Colyer Gage Broadbent, father Donald R. Gage, & stepfather Ernest (Bud) Broadbent. Al is survived by his son AJ Gage, daughter Amy Shepard (Matthew); three beautiful grandchildren: Braydon Gage, Arleigha Shepard & Austin Shepard, along with his daughter Lori Beth Frisbee from his first marriage and her children Lauren & Anthony, his brother “Butch” Donald H (Dawn) Gage and sister Christine (Dean) Yelton, stepsister Marianne (Joseph) Arria and many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held on January 25th from 1-3pm at the David A. Doser Funeral Home and Cremation Services at 76 S. Main Street Fairport, NY 14450
