Anne (McWilliams) Jones, Penfield N.Y. lost her battle with Bulbar ALS on June 19, 2021. Born in Canandaigua, N.Y. on May 26, 1940 to Frank P. and Elizabeth Finnick McWilliams. Anne married Robert K. Jones in 1962.
Anne was predeceased by her parents and brother David McWilliams all from Canandaigua NY. She is survived by her beloved husband, best friend and primary caregiver, Robert, son Robert Jr. of Ft. Myers FL., daughter Jenifer F. (Michael) Beldue of Webster N.Y., granddaughter SSgt Brooke Bart USMC Virginia Beach, VA., grandson Jonathan Jones Ft. Myers FL., and brother Gary S. McWilliams of Rochester, N.Y. Anne was proud of her Irish heritage and her large family with grandparents, many aunts, uncles and cousins. Anne leaves numerous other relatives and good friends, many from her working years and church.
After being a stay at home mom while her children were in school, she began working for Weight Watchers as a leader/area manager/coach. She thrived on seeing her members succeed and always seemed to know each person’s first name no matter the time since she had last seen them. The Weight Watchers leadership role once saw her enjoy a brunch with Sarah Ferguson, then the Dutchess of York at a reception in New York City. Anne truly walked the walk and maintained a very healthy life style before retiring after 35 years at age 75. In retirement she became more active in her church, Church of the Assumption (COTA) in Fairport attending daily mass with Bob and all the 6:54ers. Anne became very competent with her iPhone learning how to connect with many friends from her past. She found great joy in catching up, but she most enjoyed being with family and friends along with husband, Bob. She will be dearly missed by all.
At Anne’s request there are no calling hours. A memorial mass will be celebrated at Church of the Assumption 20 East Avenue Fairport, NY on July 8th at 11:15 AM.
Please consider a memorial donation in her honor to the ALS Association (www.als.org.), COTA, or a charity of your choice.
