Carol M. Large

Carol M Large, aged 79 passed away on Wednesday, August 23rd, 2023 surrounded by family.  Carol, a long time resident of Fairport, NY was born on April 29th, 1944, in Buffalo, daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Kuehmeier.  She was the beloved wife of Dave Large, their journey spanning a beautiful 53 years.  She was a devoted mother and even more remarkable grandmother.  Carol held a special place in the hearts of her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Kim Thompson (Geoff), David Large, Carrie Large (Stacey); her grandchildren Ashley, Anthony, Abby, Emily, Scotty, Jake, Lucas and Callie; her great grandchildren Caden and Holden; her predeceased brothers Joseph Kuehmeier and Rev. Carl Kuehmeier. Survived by sister-in-law Pat Kuehmeier and like a sister Linda Weiser (Steve). Her legacy also extends to many nephews, great nephews and nieces, as well as many wonderful friends.

She cherished her moments at the farm, particularly when the entire family would come from near and far.  Countless hours were enjoyed poolside, where snacks and trips to grandma’s cookie jar were a tradition.  Carol created cozy blankets, ensuring her grandchildren were wrapped in love.  She embraced the role of protector, making sure everyone returned home safely, always inquiring about the weather.

Please share your cherished memories of Carol, as she loved telling stories of times past. Service is scheduled for Saturday, September, 2nd, at 11am. It will take place at the Church of Resurrection located at 63 Mason Roard, Fairport, NY. Following the service, there will be a burial at Elmwood Cemetery 421 Furman Rd, followed by a commemoration of her life back at the Church of the Resurrection.
