Elizabeth Hannum Reinke of Penfield, NY on May 08, 2011 at the age of 88. We are happy that Mom lived until a beautiful blue Mother's Day. Liz was born on February 16, 1923 in Summerdale, NY and grew up on a farm outside Mayville, NY in Chatauqua County. She was valedictorian of her high school class and graduated from Cornell University. She met her husband, Robert V. Reinke in Ann Arbor, Michigan when she was working in University Hospital as a dietician. After moving to Rochester she had three sons: Peter ( Susan ), now living in Berthoud, Colorado , John ( Erika) of Florence, Alabama, and Tim ( Penfield ).
Liz especially liked bird watching tripswith her friends, The Walky-Talkies, the beaches of Naples, Florida and photography. She is survived not only by her husband and sons, but also by her brother Frederick Hannum ( Connie ) Mayville, NY, her sister Nancy Carlson (Reid, now deceased ) Canandaigua, NY and grandchildren, Christian ( Jessica ) Richmond, Virginia, Jevon of Jacksonville, Florida, Courtney of Santiago, Chili and Hannah of Danville, Kentucky.
A Life Celebration Service will be held at the Church of the Incarnation, 1957 Five Mile Line Road, Penfield, NY on Saturday, May 14, 2011 at 10:00 AM. Remembrances may be made to The Shepherd Home, 1959 Five Mile Line Road, Penfield, NY 14526.
