Gordon was a television broadcast engineer for 40 years beginning at WXXI (before it was on the air) and retiring from CBS New York where he worked both sports and news. He was wicked smart, self taught, magnanimous and humble. His hobbies were passions: sailing, classical guitar (taking night classes at Julliard) and computers. He would buy used computers, rebuild them and give them to people who were in need. Many of them Iraqi, Afghani, Arab and Haitian immigrants. He embraced any forgotten or ignored soul especially cats. He had the heart of the lion that he was and a courage that most can only dream of.
In his name, please consider donating to Aurora House Hospice (https://aurorahouse.org/donations/), Keeping Our Promise,( https://www.keepingourpromise.org/donate.html ) Rochester Greenovation (https://www.rochestergreen.org/how-to-help/material-donations/) and any of many local cat rescue organizations. We would like to thank the RN's and Aides of U of R Hospice who provided invaluable care to assist Gordon on his journey.
