James Peters (Jim) went home to Jesus on May 29 2021 in his sleep. Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his faithful saints. Psalm 116:15 Jim is survived by his wife Debbie, Daughter Lisamarie (John) Holley, Son Jim and faithful dog Rosie. Grandchildren Elisabeth, Michael, Gabriella Holley and Lucas Peters. Brother Kevin Peters, Loving Sister Annie (Augie) Tucciarello, and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents Mary Ann and Jerry Peters. A graveside service will be held Thursday June 10th at 11am Riverside Cemetery. Jim was a truck driver, he loved to drive with his faithful dog Rosie, they had many over the road adventures together. Jim was a member of First Bible Baptist Church after being a long time member of Open Door Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding his motorcycle. He loved riding his Gold Wing in the Smokie Mountains, the Tail of the Dragon was a favorite ride that Jim and Debbie enjoyed together.
Camping with Jim was always an adventure, Lisa's favorite memory was a trip to Alleghany State Park and Papa fishing with the kids. Jimmy's favorite memory is of hunting with his father, and shooting his first buck, they also had many fishing adventures. Jim was an Eagle Scout an honor he achieved with his father. Jim loved his tropical fish taking his grandchildren to the fish store, and letting them pick out whatever fish they wanted. He loved to volunteer to cook hot dogs for church dinners. Jim's campfires were epic enjoyed by many.
