John T. Pattison

John Thuman Pattison of Fairport,New York, on October18, 2019 at age 68.

John is predeceased by his parents, Charles and Irene (Wwynkoop) Pattison.  John is survived by his cherished wife of 46 years, Paula (Hagy); his two sons, Craig John (Jenny)Pattison and Ross (Erin) Pattison; and grandson Charles Zak Pattison.  John is also survived by his sister Jean (Gary) Baker; brother Charles (Christine) Pattison; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Known to those closest to him as a man of deep love with a generous passion for family, friends and his community.  John had the most infectious laugh to match his legendary humor.

John was born in Corning, NY and met his cherished Paula at West High School and graduated together from the University of Buffalo in 1973, marrying that same year.  He received his J.D. at Cornell Law School in 1976 and built a distinguished national telecommunications law practice, bringing his accounting training, unparalleled people skills and tireless commitment to quality to it for 33 years, retiring as a Partner at Harter Secrest & Emery in 2015.

Always a man of faith beginning in the Presbyterian Church of his youth, John became a Catholic in his 40s and went on to further service with Master of Arts in Pastoral Studies, becoming a deacon at Saint Bernard's in 2012 and serving his home parish of Assumption of Our Lady in Fairport.

Family and friends are invited to call at  Doser Funeral Home on Monday, October 21 from 4pm-7pm; and a celebration mass at the Church of the Assumption on Tuesday, October 22 at 1 pm.
