Laura ( Keith ) Eckert of Fairport and Williamsville, NY at age 88 passed away on the morning of Saturday January 09th,2016, surrounded by her loving family, in Williamsville, NY, due to complications arising from pneumonia. A long time resident of Fairport, NY for 36 years, she is survived by her husband, Mark Eckert, 93; their children; Gregory Eckert, Sandra Stephens and Judy Greco; seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Laura was the daughter of Elza and Olga Keenen, and sister of Clark Keenan. She grew up in Elmira, NY and graduated from Thomas A. Edison High School in 1945.
Laura was known for her intelligence, humor, fondness for Peanuts comics, unabashed opinions, keen sense of fashion,and deep love and commitment to her family.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to The Red Cross.
