Yeh, Martha Dunn of Buffalo and Rochester, NY on May 07, 2011 at age 96 in the Canandaigua VAMC. Martha was born in Hazlehurst, Mississippi and moved to Hanover, Indiana. She graduated from Hanover College and Case Western School of Nursing. Martha was married to William Pei Yeh of Zhejiang and Taiwan, China.
Martha served in the United States Army in Europe during World War II and in Japan and Korea during the Korean War and at various Veteran's Administration Medical Centers after the two wars. She lived a life of service and always in concern of others. To all of her acquaintances, friends and family, she is recognized as a compassionate, generous, gentle and caring person - an angel to the many whom she cared for over the years of her long life.
Martha is survived by her stepchildren, Joseph ( Debbie ), Thomas ( Noelle ) and Steven ( Gail ), and Joanne ( David ); and grandchildren Ericka, Jennifer, Samantha, Joshua, Ryan, Robert, Ryan, Nicholas, Benjamin and Isabel.
Martha gifted her remains to the University of Rochester. A memorial service will be held on Friday June 3rd at 4:00 PM in the funeral home. A dinner will follow immediately after the memorial service at Eagle Vale Golf Club, 4344 Nine Mile Point Road, Fairport.
