Myrtle Ann Wood-Welderly
“Ann” was taken from us far too soon, at the age of only 66. She left this world on June 29th, 2012. Ann was a loving mother, a caring friend and a giving soul. Predeceased by her father, Bert Wood, Ann is survived by her three children: Daughter, Bridget, Son, Tommy, and Son-In-Law, Christopher, Ex-Husband Tom Welderly, and many other family members and friends. Those who were fortunate enough to know Ann will deeply miss her generous heart, her love for animals,her wild sense of humor, and her willingness to help anyone in need. Ann touched this world in so many wonderful ways.
Ann's selfless spirit and caring nature was reflected through a lifetime of wildlife rehabilitation and rescue. In fact, Ann's pet duck Quackers, the duck that bit former Vice President Dan Quayle, was rescued from a county fair, where he was being sold as food. One of Ann’s favorite pastimes was riding her horse “Bobby” through Mendon Ponds Park with her dear friends Dick and Linda Clifford. Those of us who knew Ann in life have been forever blessed for having known a truly beautiful person in an otherwise chaotic and unjust world.
Mom, we love you and we miss you more than words can describe. We are heartbroken, but we know that someday we will be with you again. Though memories of activities throughout our daily lives may pass us by, you will remain in our hearts forever, always guiding us, and never forgotten. We will always love you more than words can ever describe. Rest In Peace Mom.

A Memorial Service and calling hours for the family and friends of Ann will be held on Sunday, July 8th at David A. Doser Funeral Home, 76 South Main Street, Fairport, NY 14450. Calling hours are from 10:00am-1:00pm, Memorial Service to be held at 1:00pm, immediately following calling hours. Ann’s Memorial Service will conclude with a Butterfly Release which will take place at White Haven Memorial Park, 210 Marsh Road, Pittsford, NY 14534.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the ASPCA in honor of Ann’s love for animals.
