Emanuel, Patricia C. (Halady) Fairport, NY: Patricia passed away peacefully at home on June 29, ending a courageous battle with cancer. Born on February 4th, 1954 in Buffalo, NY she was the daughter of Eugenia Halady and the late Edward Halady. Patricia grew up the eldest child of a large and loving family in Buffalo, NY. She is survived by her mother Eugenia, her sisters Diane (Larry), Geraldine (Greg), Christine and Theresa, and brothers Edward and David (Molly). She was a proud and loving mother to her son Jerry (Aru) with whom she shared her love of reading, sharp sense of humor and attention for social justice. She graduated from SUNY Fredonia and worked for Bausch & Lomb for many years. For the past seven years she supported schools and agencies for COMET. Patricia met her long time companion, Serge Lossa, through the vibrant local contra and swing dancing community. She was a steady and loving partner who shared his enthusiasm for the outdoors, hiking the Adirondacks and paddling waterways from local creeks to faraway parks in Canada. Memorial calling hours will be from 4-7 pm on Thursday at the David A. Doser Funeral Home, 76 South Main Street, Fairport, NY. A memorial service will be held in Buffalo, NY later this summer.
