Patricia A, Sawdey

Patricia Ann Sawdey, 79, of Webster, passed away January 29th, 2023. We will be celebrating her life in a Memorial Service at White Haven Memorial Park on Friday February 3rd at 12:30PM inside their Creation Chapel (210 Marsh Rd, Pittsford NY).

Born in Rochester, NY and raised in Webster, she was the daughter of Sidney and Katherine VanApeldoorn. Patricia was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a dedicated worker for multiple banks and medical offices during her career within NY, FL, and NV. This included working at Rochester Telephone, Lincoln Rochester, Exchange Bank and Citibank where she made many friends. 

Predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Arthur Sawdey, and her brothers, Sid and John, Patricia is survived by her brother, Frank, sisters-in-law, Jean and Susan VanApeldoorn, son, Scott Sawdey; granddaughters, Emily Sawdey Fox (Michael) and Amy Sawdey; great-grandchildren, Milo Harrison Fox and Elliette Marie Fox, many nieces, a nephew, and their families. Her family and friends will greatly miss her presence in their lives. 

Patricia was happiest when she was with her family and loved to celebrate with them on all occasions. She was a lifelong antique lover searching across auctions, markets, and outdoor sales for the most unique items and best deals. Pat greatly enjoyed going to church, listening to live music, traveling, and spending her days with her husband. Pat trained as a beautician and made friends doing hair in her salon basement while her son grew up, she was a woman of many talents. Later in life she enjoyed watercolor painting, enjoying making artwork for her family and friends.
