Robert E. Vogt of Rochester, New York on June 4th, 2015 at age 79.  A most patient and kind man.  Born November 13, 1935 to William and Frances Vogt.  He was predeceased by his wife,  the love of his life,  Barbara ( Hayden ) and brother Kenneth.  He is survived by brother William ( Renee ) Vogt; sister Christine Baker; sisters-inlaws, Patricia  ( Edward ) Frame and Jeannie ( Andrew ) Chop.  He leaves his children Robert ( Susan ) Vogt Jr. of Boylston, MA  Kathy ( Matthew ) Cox of Fort Mill, SC and Charles ( Sarah ) Vogt of Ontario, NY, with whom he lived.  His 5 beloved grandchildren,  Michael, Christopher, Abigail, Harrison and Jennifer.  Also many nieces, nephews and friends.

After graduation from Edison Tech, Bob proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy on the U.S.S. Irwin and saw the world.  From there he worked at Carl's Deli and RG&E before beginning a long career at Kodak as a pipefitter and planner.  He retired in 1992.

He much enjoyed his bowling and golf, he was very proud of earning a hole-in-one at Twin Hills Golf Club.  He was happy tending to his roses.  As a young boy, he spent summers in the 1000 islands on Grenell Island and was happy to share his memories with his family, children and grandchildren on visits there with him.  Family was all important to him.

In 2005, he was a heart transplant recipient.  Bob's family wish to thank all the doctors, nurses and care professionals that have participated in his life since then.  A special thanks to all of his co-workers at Kodak trained in the use of defibrillators, who gave him his second chance of life and additional years for us to share our love with him.

Services will be at the convenience of the family, with interment in Creekside Cemetery, Churchville, NY.  Memorials may be made to Pines of Peace   2378 Ridge Road  Ontario, NY  14519.  Condolences may be placed on the website.
