Ruth C. Pearles, age 98 and a resident of the Rochester Presbyterian Home passed away peacefully on Feb. 16, with family members at her bedside. Ruth was born in Depew, NY in 1924 to the parents of Raymond and Hazel Crommett Hasenflug. She is predeceased by her husband Robert E. Pearles and her son Richard. Ruth is survived by her son Robert and wife Linda; daughter-in-law Janet (wife of Richard); grandchildren Mike (Michelle), Kerri (Jeremy), Ray (Danielle), Colleen (Brian), Dan and ten great grandchildren. Ruth was raised in Lancaster, NY and lived in several different cities before moving to the Rochester area with her husband Robert. Ruth and Bob were active members of the American Rose Society, the Clay County (MO) Rose Society and Wayne County (NY) Rose Society and were Master Gardeners. Ruth and Bob also traveled extensively and were able to enjoy many of the lovely gardens found throughout the world.
Calling hours will be held at the David A, Doser Funeral Home (76 South Main Street, Fairport on Thursday, Feb. 23, from 4-6 pm. A private burial for family members will occur on Feb. 24 at the Lancaster Rural Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Rochester Presbyterian Home (256 Thurston Road, Rochester, NY 14619) or to the ALS Association (Donation Processing Center, PO Box 37022, Boone, IA 50037)
