Shawn M. Ahern

Shawn was a loving, kind and caring son of Thomas and Allison Ahern. He cared deeply for his older brother Tommy and idolized and worshiped his younger brother Jeffrey. Shawn was loved by many aunts, uncles, cousins and life long friends.

Shawn was born in Newark and grew up in Fairport where he graduated from Fairport High School. Shawn acquired his Black Belt in karate at age 15 and encouraged and helped his younger brother Jeffery to aquire his Black Belt as well. He started his work career at USA Karate studio as an instructor and Denny’s. He later worked for different moving companies, tent company and then restaurants. 

Shawn had a ridiculous sense of humor, loved telling Dad jokes, being silly and was quite the goofball. He loved making people laugh, and was amazing at that and making them feel comfortable. Shawn was a punk rock kid but enjoyed all types of music, shows and concerts with his friends. He cared very deeply for all who were close to him and truly loved his dog Strummer and his cat Lemmy. He touched the souls of many people in such a positive way.  He was blessed to have a loving family and many loving friends who will all miss him greatly. He is at peace now without pain.   

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday May 03, 2025 at 1:15 PM followed by a Celebration of Life until 4:00 PM at Eagle Vale Golf Club. 4344 Nine Mile Point Road,  Fairport, NY.   In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Lollypop Humane Society of Rochester,  99 Victor Road, Fairport, NY 14450.
