He received a Good Conduct Medal, a World War II Victory Medal and the European African Middle Eastern Service Medal. Bill was also a dedicated engineer. He had built a successful career as a manager for Xerox. In his community, Bill was an active member of the Webster Baptist Church. He was an avid golfer and loved to bowl with his wife and friends during the winter months when he and Ruth were not traveling South. He loved to garden and delighted in sharing his gorgeous dahlia collection with friends and family. Bill also loved to paint. He was an accomplished artist and many of his works decorate the walls in the homes of his family members.

Bill had a great sense of humor and a deep loyalty to family. We know he is watching over us with Jesus in Heaven. He was very loved and will be very missed by all.
